The mercury is on the rise and many of us start to get summer smoothie cravings. In fact, I had three just in the past week! (all homemade) Delicious fruit, yogurt, and icy blends not only pack in plenty of chil-factor, but also nutrition. But even with all that nutrition, are they healthy? Fruit is loaded with sugar, which makes for a sweet treat but packs tons of carbs. This is especially true if you add sugar to your smoothie concoctions. So after realizing that all that fruit, yogurt, and sugar was packing a lot of calories I decided to make something a little healthier. The result? A delicious, milkshake like, low carb smoothie. Give it a try, and I guarantee if you like chocolate and peanut butter, you’ll love this!
